Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer leads the design and development of electrical systems on moderately complex projects across product categories; mentors entry-level engineers; defines system-level electrical specifications in collaboration with systems engineering; leads cross-functional design reviews; oversees layout and routing to ensure performance, thermal, and EMI compliance; establishes verification plans and full test coverage for design validation; develops advanced analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit blocks; conducts root cause analysis on hardware failures; works with manufacturing on production test strategies and jigs; integrates new technology such as microcontrollers or power ICs; develops comprehensive design documentation and manages BOM and release processes; collaborates with suppliers for cost, availability, and performance optimization; supports product sustainment for obsolescence and customer issue resolution; drives improvements in layout guidelines and design tool usage; maintains strong teamwork and customer obsession with a focus on quality and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or program
- three to five years of direct electrical work experience
- strong technical, analytical, planning, time management, organizational, and conflict resolution skills
- experience in designing circuits, analyzing test data, and independently validating design performance
- experience with hand-held electronic products and rechargeable battery systems is preferred
- strong oral and written communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
