Electrical Engineer - High voltage (f/m/x)

Job Summary
Design, build and wire electrical control cabinets for low and high voltage applications, ensuring compliance with German/European standards; perform electrical risk assessments; assemble and integrate control cabinets and electromechanical systems; collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate requirements into robust electrical designs; participate in design reviews; support commissioning, testing and troubleshooting during experimental campaigns; develop and maintain engineering documentation; manage workshop activities for electrical assembly; apply safe practices for high-voltage operation; travel to support on-site campaigns and experiments; strong experience with EPLAN, schematics, BOMs, and documentation; preference for German language skills and understanding of IEC/DIN standards; English proficiency required.
Required Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as Electrical Technician, Mechatronics Technician, or a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience wiring and commissioning electrical control cabinets for low and high voltage applications
- Experience with EPLAN and documentation packages
- Knowledge of German and European standards such as DIN VDE 0100, DIN EN 61439, DIN EN 60204-1, DGUV Vorschrift 3
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with PLCs, relays, circuit breakers, safety devices, and instrumentation
- Willingness to travel and operate on-site; professional proficiency in English
