Job Summary
Electrical Engineer in a full-time design engineering role focused on electrical design across prototype and production units. You will own detailed analog and digital design, perform schematic capture and PCB layout, and drive design verification, validation, and board bring-up. You’ll conduct highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and environmental qualification testing (DO-160G), produce technical documentation, manage assigned subsystems within larger projects, and pursue improvements to manufacturability and robustness in coordination with sustaining engineering. You’ll explore new technologies, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with mechanical, software, and FPGA teams to meet internal, customer, and functional requirements. Preferred exposure to embedded software and FPGA/ASIC work and familiarity with DO-160G qualifications and Xilinx FPGA tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
- Three (3) or more years of electrical design experience
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, processors, and/or DSP-based designs
- Symbol/Footprint Design, Schematic Capture, & PCB Layout: OrCAD Capture/Allegro or similar toolset
- Experience with processors, microcontrollers, and/or DSP-based designs
- Experience with network/Ethernet designs and common interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
- Experience with hardware diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, function generators)
- Ability to research, understand and apply specifications, datasheets, hardware manuals
