Job Summary
Design and deliver electrical engineering solutions for airport, commercial, governmental, and industrial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems; integrate fire alarms, access controls, CCTV, and multimedia; contribute to multi-discipline design and construction projects across DOTs, rail, DoD, and private sector, with periodic out-of-state travel; lead design tasks, mentor CAD/Revit technicians, and communicate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensure as a professional engineer in Electrical Engineering or ability to obtain licensure within six months
- Minimum of 5 years in the consulting professional services industry, in the Electrical Engineering Discipline
- Experience in preparation of electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittals review and construction administration
- Knowledge of electrical, building, and energy codes
- Ability to lead tasks and supervise CAD/Revit technicians and other engineers/designers
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT
- Familiarity with lighting calculation software (Visual, AGI32)
- Familiarity with generator sizing software (Cummins Power Suite, Cat Electric Power Specsizer)
- Familiarity with voltage drop, fault current and arc flash calculators (EDR, Easypower, SKM, Design Master)
- Familiarity with energy analysis software (ComCheck and EnergyGauge)
- Willingness to travel; periodic travel, including out-of-state travel
