Job Summary
Electrical Engineer responsible for analyzing and designing electric power infrastructure, including SCADA/ICS integration, network diagrams and technical schematics, with emphasis on power systems in substations, plants, and support systems. Role involves independent technical investigations, mentoring junior staff, leadership in defense-related C2 solutions, and collaboration with vendors to evaluate capabilities and products. Clear understanding of OT/IT technologies, cybersecurity models, and ability to communicate complex technical information in simple terms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Controls and Automation Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with engineering applications
- Experience with electric power operations and systems in a substation, power plant, and auxiliary electric power support systems
- Knowledge of OT/IT technologies including distributed energy resources, cloud infrastructure, and enhanced cybersecurity models
- Knowledge of transmission, distribution, or generation design or operations, ICS or SCADA design, commissioning or operations, system protection, or electric power modeling
- Ability to create and interpret technical schematics and network diagrams
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
- Secret clearance
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (nice to have)
