Job Summary
Develop detailed electrical designs and drawings from concept through construction documents, preparing specifications and supporting documents for engineering projects. Conduct site visits to gather data and assess field conditions while ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards. Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient design practices and collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to meet client needs. Assist in coordinating sub-consultant activities and troubleshoot technical challenges to contribute to design solutions. This collaborative role supports impactful projects in healthcare and the public sector within a Cincinnati-based team that values mentorship and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience or two Co-Op sessions in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other relevant design tools; ability to learn other design software
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and processes
- Understanding of the purpose and content of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents
- Knowledge of design process: calculations, written, graphic presentation
- You are pursuing your EIT, PE, or RCDD
