Job Summary

Lead the design, development, and implementation of high and medium voltage electrical systems (115kV and 34.5kV) and infrastructure at the Advanced Research Center. Develop and review system designs, including single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics, while ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, and OSHA standards. Oversee operation and maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and manage grid interconnections from site generation sources. Manage infrastructure projects from conception to completion, coordinating schedules, budgets, and resources with internal stakeholders. Develop safety policies, conduct audits, and mentor team members on electrical safety. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of industrial experience required; Niskayuna, NY office location.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in industrial electrical engineering
  • Associates degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 10 years of experience in industrial electrical engineering
  • High School diploma
  • 15 years of experience in industrial electrical engineering
  • Experience with research or testing operations, including electrical system design, development, and implementation
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Strong electrical safety knowledge, including OSHA, NFPA, IEEE, and NEC code and regulations
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • No work visa sponsorship
