Job Summary
Design electrical systems for EV charging stations, including AC and DC chargers, power distribution, and load management. Prepare drawings, schematics, and technical documentation while managing Bills of Materials and maintaining project records. Oversee site assessments, installations, and commissioning of high-power chargers, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and safety standards. Diagnose technical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with contractors to execute seamless project delivery. Report safety hazards and participate in HSE protocols. Work on-site across various locations in the UAE, including shifts and extended hours as project demands require.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or EV charging solutions
- Proficiency in designing LV and HV electrical systems, including load calculations, cable sizing, and grounding systems
- Experience in load calculations, power factor correction, and grounding systems
- Knowledge with testing and troubleshooting tools (e.g., megger, multimeter, earth tester)
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools for creating electrical schematics
- Knowledge of electrical codes, local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEWA), and safety regulations (IEC, IEEE)
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic project environment
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively
- Strong problem-solving, and project management abilities
- Willingness to work on-site at various project locations in The UAE
- Flexibility to work in shifts and extended hours as project demands require
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in construction environments
- Exposure to ADNOC or similar projects
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards
- DEWA/ADDC/SEWA-approved engineer certification
- Estidama certification
- Certification in EV charging systems or renewable energy integration
