Job Summary
Design electrical architecture for a scaled heating system and drive continuous improvements in design. Author equipment and instrumentation hardware descriptions, develop troubleshooting plans and analysis documents, and create factory acceptance test procedures. Ensure compliance with NEC and coordinate electrical construction documentation with internal and external teams. Lead design reviews, participate in Process Hazards Analysis, implement safety and change-management policies (MOC, Lock Out/Tag Out), and support process-system requirements and customer needs. Requires 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, familiarity with 3-phase 480V power, and experience with industrial environments. Flexible work schedule including third shift.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years electrical engineering development experience
- Experience with Joule heating is a plus
- Experience with industrial chemical plants
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Familiarity with industrial power (3 phase, 480V)
- Familiarity with various communications protocols: Modbus TCP, Serial, etc. is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in industrial environments
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment toward timely execution of goals
