Electrical Engineer- EPCM

Job Summary
Prepare electrical engineering calculations, studies, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for projects spanning concept development through commissioning. Develop and review system designs including power distribution, protection, control, grounding, and lighting while ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. Coordinate activities with multidisciplinary teams, track progress against milestones, and support procurement, fabrication, installation, and field inspections. Participate in design reviews, feasibility studies, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during construction and start-up.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng. or equivalent)
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada or eligible for registration in Nova Scotia
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project delivery within a consulting, industrial, infrastructure, or EPCM environment
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, design practices, and industry standards
- Experience preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documentation
- Knowledge of electrical power systems, distribution systems, industrial facilities, and engineering design processes
- Familiarity with electrical design software and engineering tools
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within established schedules
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
