Job Summary
Lead field activities for electrical system installation and commissioning of the Joule Hive thermal battery while assisting in the design of power and control systems. Develop electrical circuit models and a comprehensive CAD framework to coordinate subsystems, then maintain detailed documentation including design specifications and test reports. Provide progress updates to stakeholders and support functional testing of equipment, instrumentation, and control systems while performing electrical troubleshooting during and after integration. This role requires 50% travel to support on-site projects, reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering
- 1-3 years of professional engineering experience
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including: Circuit analysis, Three-phase power systems, Electrical machines, Power distribution, Control systems
- Proficiency in LTspice, PSpice or other circuit modeling/analysis software
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Proficiency in Python or similar coding languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work hands-on in laboratory and industrial environments
- Travel: 50% (to support on-site installation and commissioning for projects)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MV electrical system design and deployment
- Experience with renewable energy systems or thermal energy storage
