Job Summary
Design electrical power, low voltage, and lighting systems including power distribution, circuiting, fire alarm systems, and data intercommunications. Document designs using Autodesk AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP, then survey existing buildings for renovations to facilitate the design process. Review shop drawings and answer RFIs during bidding and construction phases. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Architectural Engineering with EIT Certification and experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering
- Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification
- Understanding of the process of designing, bidding and constructing a building
- Experience in computer programs including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office applications
- Effective communications skills (verbal and written) to allow interface with co-workers, architects and building owners
