Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer/Designer is responsible for designing electrical systems for various facility types, including high-rise buildings, data centers, multifamily, retail/mixed-use spaces, and commercial spaces. Key responsibilities include designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems, producing electrical design drawings using Revit software, performing field investigations, and ensuring quality control of electrical design deliverables. Candidates must have strong technical skills, experience in electrical design and construction, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering field
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design and construction
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated project coordination and facilitation experience
- Solid understanding of power distribution, emergency power systems, grounding, and lighting design
- Experience with breaker coordination, arc flash studies, and voltage drop calculations
- Familiar with electrical codes (NEC), energy efficiency standards (IECC), and industry best practices
- Experience with high-rise electrical systems, hospitality power infrastructure, and renewable energy integration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for design and specifications
- Proficiency in Revit
- Ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward
