Job Summary
Lead electrical design and engineering efforts from concept through execution for automated, industrial-scale projects. Responsibilities include designing, analyzing, testing electrical control systems, developing panel fabrication specs, performing risk assessments, procuring materials, troubleshooting installations, leading commissioning (FAT/SAT), conducting site surveys, generating contractor schedules, and guiding subcontractors. Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, develop bid documentation, and manage project deliverables within budget and schedule. Requires strong experience with PLC-based controls (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, GE, etc.), AutoCAD proficiency, and a track record of successful client-facing technical discussions. Travel 30-50% and operate in a hybrid work arrangement; bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 3–6 years’ experience are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical education
- 3–6 years of experience in electrical control System design
- Strong experience specifying and implementing PLC-based systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and commission independently
- Experience managing project deliverables within budget and schedule
- Comfortable in client-facing technical discussions
- Willingness to travel between 30-50%
