Job Summary
Analyze machine functionality to create functional specifications and design electrical systems for customer machines. Develop panel layouts, draw schematics, and document electrical standards for assembly. Collaborate with controls programmers to meet design deadlines and assist in troubleshooting machines on the assembly floor or at customer sites. Support service and assembly departments with electrical debugging and assist in writing service manuals and testing new product ideas. Report safety concerns and work independently to resolve issues while maintaining positive communication with internal and external teams.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year degree in Electrical Engineering
- A two year technical degree with five years of experience in electrical controls systems
- Be self-motivated to adjust schedule to meet design and release deadlines
- Experience and/or familiarity with SolidWorks
- AutoCAD experience
- Able to read, understand, analyze, and problem-solve electrical drawings and related engineering software programs
- Working knowledge in the National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 79, and Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) 508A
- Knowledge in mechatronics, machine control sensing, and sizing of servos
- Able to use standard computer programs for work processing including Microsoft Office products
- Communicates clearly and effectively (verbally and non-verbally) to individuals and groups, internally and externally, to exchange ideas and convey detailed information accurately
- Works well with a variety of people and personalities, and with other Delkor departments
- Works collaboratively, as a team member, to suggest ideas and resolve issues in a positive manner
- Well organized with an aptitude for details
- Works independently and accurately with minimal supervision
- Able to maintain a positive workplace environment under stressful situations
- Be on-site at Delkor 80% of the regular work week
- The estimated amount of time spent traveling to customer sites is ten percent (10%)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and/or familiarity with SolidWorks preferred
