Job Summary
Electrical Engineer – Consulting Engineering role across nationwide locations with hybrid work options. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems (power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, UPS, renewable energy, fire alarm, IT/security, life safety), preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, applying engineering principles, coordinating with architects/owners/contractors, reviewing submittals, and performing design support from pre-design through construction. Advanced responsibilities include leading projects, performing complex power system studies, preparing estimates, mentoring junior engineers, and participating in client engagement and business development. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical/Architectural Engineering or related field, MEP consulting experience, proficiency with AutoCAD (Revit preferred), NEC/building codes familiarity, FE/EIT; PE licensure a plus. Experience with healthcare codes and sustainability/design accreditation (LEED) is a plus. Base pay ranges from $90k to $160k depending on experience and location. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in MEP consulting engineering (additional experience for senior level).
- Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC and applicable building codes.
- FE/EIT registration preferred; PE licensure or ability to obtain PE is a plus.
- Experience with healthcare codes (HCAI/OSHPD) and Net Zero / sustainable design is a plus.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus.
