• •Third year level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• •2.7 GPA or higher
• •Basic knowledge of electrical theory to include AC distribution and transformation, AC/DC, motor control, power/analog/digital electronics and electromagnetic properties
• •Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment
• •Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• •Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
• •Must be authorized to work in the United States
• •Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others
• •Able to lift approximately 0-25 lbs. occasionally
• •Able to climb stairs and work at various heights
• •Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials

• •Must be able to troubleshoot electrical power systems related issues that may arise, such as power outages, electrical faults, and equipment failures
• •Must be able to work on electrical power system relay network expansion
• •Must be able to analyze existing electrical preventative maintenance plans, and development and implementation of new plans
• •Must be able to participate in root cause failure analysis and execution of associated corrective actions
• •Must be able to work on electrical power system reliability improvement projects
• •Must be able to perform software based electrical power system modelling (including data collection, field verification, and model modifications)
• •Must be able to communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors
• •Must be able to participate in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment
