Job Summary
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards through timely audits. Diagnose and troubleshoot programming and electrical issues while creating, modifying, and confirming logic. Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems to develop solutions that improve plant process and reliability. Direct bargaining unit employees and lead electrical projects during outages, monitoring external contractors to ensure satisfactory completion. Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate production and safety concerns. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, three years of manufacturing experience, and knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs. Located in East Chicago, IN, with competitive pay and relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or for the exceptional candidate, a high school diploma with significant commensurate experience
- Working knowledge of industrial wiring, controls, and instrumentation
- Able to manage and direct workforce
- Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Experience working with a represented workforce in a heavy industrial setting
- Knowledge of safety and health policies including key components of the OSHA regulations
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, AC/DC drives, and HMI setup, programming, and configuration
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical Technology Engineering
- Three years of production or maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates from outside the local area
