Job Summary

Electrical Systems Engineer for Steam Plant Systems Engineering leading design, construction, operations, maintenance, testing, and analysis of plant electrical systems. Must demonstrate strong knowledge of transformers, switchgear, breakers, power cables, generators, motors, MCCs, power panels, buss-work, and electric transmission up to 69kV/120,000kVA+ and 230,000kVA generators, plus sizing analysis, lifecycle management, protection schemes, UPS systems, and dielectric fluids. Requires familiarity with applicable regulations, industry standards, and process safety practices; Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is required
  • Experience with transformers (up to 120,000kVA)
  • Experience with switchgear, breakers and power cables (up to 69kV)
  • Experience with generators (up to 230,000kVA)
  • Experience with motors, MCCs, power panels, buss-work, or electric transmission
  • Working knowledge of equipment sizing, analysis, lifecycle management, protection schemes, UPS systems, and dielectric fluids
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations, industry standards, and process safety practices
