Job Summary
Perform design tasks, complete construction documents with drawings and specifications, and review designs while following QAQC processes through the design phase. Execute engineering calculations, conduct power studies using specialized software, and ensure all documents comply with State and NEC codes. Coordinate design documents with the Project Manager to meet project scope requirements and serve as a technical resource for Engineers, Designers, Estimators, and Project Managers. May supervise other Engineers, Designers, or CAD/BIM drafters on assigned work and mentor team members. Maintain technical development goals and attend internal and external meetings for architect, MEP, GC, and Owner coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering or similar Bachelor of Science degree
- Professional Engineer's License – State of California
- Three (3) years of experience working for an electrical design firm or design build electrical contractor
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with MEP/REVIT
- Experience with Etap/SKM
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable working with a team and different functions across the organization
