Electrical Engineer

Job Summary
Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, and low-voltage systems. Develop construction drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD. Perform electrical calculations including load studies, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, lighting photometrics, and panel schedules. Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams to integrate designs. Participate in design development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration phases. Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and support field observations/site visits. Ensure compliance with NEC, IECC, local codes, and client standards. Support project schedules, budgets, and quality control requirements. Interface directly with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3–10+ years of experience in MEP consulting or building systems design
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Experience performing electrical calculations and preparing construction documents
- Working knowledge of NEC and applicable building codes
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- EIT certification preferred; PE license strongly preferred for senior-level candidates
