Job Summary
Electrical Engineer responsible for design and development of technology-focused architectural/engineering building projects (data centers, critical infrastructure, technology facilities, E911 and related facilities) from concept through construction. Duties include preparing construction documents (drawings and specifications), addenda and transmittals, reviewing RFIs and submittals, attending design and construction meetings, and conducting field surveys and data collection at project sites. Requires 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, strong communication skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD MEP 3D, Navisworks, and Revit MEP. Familiarity with NYC/ national codes, coordination across disciplines, and ability to work in a team environment on multiple design/construction A/E projects. Licensure (P.E.) is preferred and LEED certification is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of engineering experience in design and construction
- Licensed P.E. preferred
- LEED Certification preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP 3D, Navisworks, and Revit MEP
- Experience with design and construction A/E projects
- Ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients
- Field experience and knowledge of construction principles
- Familiarity with relevant codes ( NYC Mechanical, Building, Energy Conservation, Fire Protection, NFPA, NEC)
- Ability to produce construction documents (drawings and specifications) and respond to RFIs/submittals
- Travel to project sites for field data collection
