Job Summary
Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to lead the serial production implementation of electrical subsystems (HMI controls, high voltage and low voltage distribution, low voltage cabin system, navigation systems, etc.) for Candela’s electric hydrofoil vessels. This is a hands-on role involving design, planning, documentation, installation, and testing to ensure robust, serviceable, and seamlessly integrated electrical systems. Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Purchasing to translate NPD designs into reliable, serially producible processes and designs. Responsibilities include developing electrical and electronic system build and assembly processes, ensuring manufacturability and production stability, driving system-level evaluations, producing/ reviewing schematics, MBOMs, wiring diagrams, test specs, and production documentation, participating in technical reviews and risk analyses, ensuring compliance standards, and providing technical guidance within the electrical production domain.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading industrialization of electrical and electronic systems from concept to production.
- Strong background in electrical systems and electronics, including system design and integration.
- Proven experience working closely with R&D and production of machines or complex industrial products.
- Experience producing and reviewing structured technical documentation for industrial products.
- Experience in regulated industries with high requirements on safety, reliability, and compliance.
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Marine Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical and electronics development and/or industrialization.
- Fluent in English
- Experience of working with cad systems, preferably Catia,
- Experience working with PCB-based electronics, with the ability to review designs and drive architectural decisions (hands-on layout experience not required).
- Genuine interest in building things.
