Job Summary
Professional Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and documentation of building services electrical systems (lighting, general and specialist power, main switchboards, distribution, earthing/lightning protection, essential services) in Brisbane projects across defence, aviation, healthcare, education, commercial, sports and transport sectors. You will prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and schedules per Australian Standards and NCC; support multidisciplinary design across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire and structural teams; participate in project planning, design reviews, and QA processes; undertake site inspections and provide construction-phase support; and contribute technical leadership and mentoring within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3–6+ years’ experience in electrical building services design within a consulting or contractor environment (preferred)
- Experience with lighting, power, earthing/lightning protection and electrical distribution systems
- Proficiency with industry software (Revit MEP, PowerCAD, AutoCAD, AGi32, ETAP and Microsoft Office)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for multidisciplinary teams and client-facing activities
- RPEQ, RPEV or CPEng (or working towards) highly regarded
Additional Requirements
- Australian Citizenship highly regarded with Defence clearance viewed favourably
