Job Summary
Electrical Engineer at Barnet Council responsible for providing technical expertise, design, maintenance oversight, and compliance support for electrical systems across the Council’s estate. Lead and support development, governance and delivery of safe, compliant, low-carbon M&E solutions in alignment with climate commitments and statutory obligations. Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline) with at least 5 years UK experience; familiar with building services, energy or sustainability, and capable of overseeing projects from concept to completion. Hybrid working options are available.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline) or equivalent professional experience
- Training in Building Services Engineering, energy, or sustainability or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years Electrical Engineering experience in the UK
- Expertise in electrical services overseeing all types of projects from concept to completion
