Job Summary
Design, develop, and test electrical systems for automatic pool cover products; create and maintain electrical schematics, BOMs, wiring instructions, and related engineering documentation; program, troubleshoot, and improve motor controls, sensors, limit switches, and control boards; collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical and mechanical systems; evaluate new technologies and components; support new product development from concept through production launch; troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues; support ECOs and continuous-improvement initiatives; provide technical support and training to Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Field Service teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field
- 3–5 years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience designing low-voltage electrical systems, motor controls, and electromechanical products
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software for schematic design
- Knowledge of electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers
- Experience with PLCs, embedded controls, microcontrollers, or motor drive systems is preferred
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and lean manufacturing principles
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
