Job Summary
Electrical Reliability Engineer responsible for improving the reliability performance of electrical distribution equipment (480V to 161kV) in a chemical/petrochemical plant, leading PdM and PM strategies, and managing asset health for HV/MV systems. Define and implement a strategic approach for high- and medium-voltage equipment, drive long-term plans to improve OEE and capacity, support infrastructure projects (transformers, substations, feeders), and provide design assistance and startup guidance for capital projects. Apply knowledge of PSM, NFPA70E, NEC, and NESC; lead and collaborate with HV/MV technicians; identify training opportunities; and contribute to data-driven reliability improvements and risk reduction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years in the chemical or petrochemical industry
- Understanding of continuous operations in a PSM-covered chemical plant
- CMRP or similar Reliability certification preferred
