Job Summary
Electrical Engineer sought to design, analyze, test, and troubleshoot electronic hardware for advanced electro-optic systems (lasers, LiDAR, electro-optic sensors). You will develop schematics and support PCB development in Altium Designer, perform hands-on testing with lab equipment, and assist with integration of embedded firmware/software for system debugging. You will review layouts for manufacturability and reliability, provide hardware- and test-automation support for new product development and legacy systems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, proven hardware design/test experience (analog/digital/mixed-signal), proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and related lab tools, schematic capture/PCB familiarity, strong communication skills, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Proven ability to design, test, and troubleshoot electronic hardware (analog, digital, power, mixed-signal)
- Proficiency with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, related instrumentation)
- Working knowledge of schematic capture and PCB designs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
- Experience with Altium Designer is a plus
- Ability to understand and debug embedded firmware/software during hardware integration and test
- Experience with electro-optic, laser, LiDAR, or sensor-based systems is preferred
- Active DoD security clearance is desirable
- DOT drug test and criminal background screening required
