Job Summary
Join Allen Control Systems as a vital electrical designer responsible for developing robust electrical systems for autonomous gun turret applications. Key responsibilities include crafting detailed electrical schematics and PCB layouts, developing real-time embedded software in C++ and Python, and conducting simulations for signal integrity and thermal management. Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure optimal integration of electromechanical components, and maintain thorough documentation of designs. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in schematic design, PCB layout, and experience in real-time control systems, along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Embedded circuit design knowledge including power conversion and motor drive
- Schematic Design & PCB Layout expertise with tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle
- Proficiency with simulation software (e.g., SPICE, ANSYS Electronics)
- Experience integrating electrical components with mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience with testing methodologies and protocols
- Strong background in embedded software development for real-time systems
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Experience designing and deploying software for robotics applications
- Ability to integrate software with sensors, actuators, and control hardware
