Job Summary
Support design, development, and evaluation of prototype printed circuit boards, fixtures, and tools for advanced medical devices by performing engineering studies, electrical characterization, and verification activities for Class III active implantable medical devices. Execute test planning, automation, and data analysis while utilizing standard electronic laboratory equipment to assess device capabilities and identify technical challenges. Develop and execute test methods, processes, and automation, documenting development and verification activities in compliance with design control and regulatory requirements. Conduct measurements specified in design verification plans, tabulate results, and prepare detailed test reports, verification summaries, and review materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) -- Electrical/electronic engineering or related engineering field
- Minimum 3 years Relevant work experience in performing the layout construction, and evaluation of a variety of Printed Circuit Boards, fixtures and tools
- Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies and tasks
- Demonstrated personal computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and specialized applications
- Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced credential or professional certification in a relevant discipline/concentration
- Six-Sigma knowledge and experience
- Training and experience in manufacturing processes and methods desired, especially in the manufacturing of medical devices
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
- Prefer candidate that has experience with simulation software (e.g. SPICE, Matlab, COMSOL)
