Job Summary
Conduct electrical design, power system analysis, and project management while providing technical support for customer electrical systems. Perform arc flash studies, short circuit calculations, and medium/low-voltage coordination evaluations in compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards. Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards through on-site data collection and documentation preparation. Requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, 2+ years of experience with power system studies using modeling software, and 10-20% travel. Collaborate with team members and clients to support client engineering needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with power system studies
- Hands-on experience using electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power)
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and criteria (e.g., NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584)
- Proficiency in performing arc flash studies, short circuit calculations, and medium/low-voltage coordination evaluations
- Strong ability to prepare engineering documents (e.g., drawings, calculations, evaluations)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
- Willingness to travel 10%-20%, with potential trips lasting a few days to a few weeks
