Job Summary

Design, analyze, and develop electrical and electronic circuits and components, including schematic creation, PCB layout reviews, and component selection. Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of hardware prototypes and assemblies while performing measurements, data collection, and analysis using standard lab equipment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design reviews, integration activities, and system bring-up, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare detailed engineering documentation, manage supplier communications, and assist in part evaluations. Full-time position at MacDill AFB, FL or Ft. Belvoir, VA, contingent upon contract award. Requires US citizenship and active Secret clearance.

Required Qualifications

  • US citizen
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • 3–6 years of experience in electrical/electronics engineering or equivalent hands-on background
  • Must be available for travel as needed
  • Must be willing to work at MacDill AFB, FL or Ft. Belvoir, VA

Desired Qualifications

  • Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, or consumer electronics
  • Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, power supplies, or embedded hardware
  • Proficiency using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with PCB layout or design-for-manufacturability (DFM/DFT) practices
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC principles, grounding, and signal integrity
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as UL, CE, FCC, or IEC
  • Exposure to embedded systems, firmware, or FPGA-based designs
  • Experience with reliability testing, environmental testing, or failure analysis
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex engineering tasks
