Job Summary

Create and revise electrical/electronic design drawings of low to medium complexity using CAD applications, AutoCAD, engravers, and plotters. Comprehend technical mark-ups, engineering data, and application requirements to accurately apply designs to standard layouts and metadata. Research vendor and material resources to acquire accurate drawing information, obtain facility information through inspections, and ensure drawings reflect infrastructure. Assist the Drafting Structural/Civil Group and provide support for the CAD System Technical Analyst as needed. Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in electromechanical, electrical or a related technology
  • Post high school education or similar military training in electromechanical, electrical or a related technology
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Application of electrical theory and principles
  • Experience in a drafting/design environment
  • Experience in electromechanical or electrical experience in the drafting/design environment
  • Badging for CNS
  • NERC access

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge
  • Intermediate to advanced AutoCAD knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience
  • One (1) year of experience in a drafting/design environment and/or application of electrical theory and principles
  • Three (3) years of experience in a drafting/design environment and/or application of electrical theory and principles
  • Four (4) years electromechanical or electrical experience in the drafting/design environment
  • Experience with a variety of technical computer applications
  • Experience creating and revising electrical/electronic design drawings
  • Experience creating and revising electrical/electronic design drawings of low to medium complexity
  • Experience creating and revising electrical/electronic design drawings of medium to high complexity
  • Experience designing lower difficulty control plans
  • Experience understanding and entering associated drawing metadata
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) applications
  • Experience with personal computers, engravers and plotters
  • Experience comprehending technical mark-ups, engineering data, and a variety of computer application requirements
  • Experience accurately applying designs to standard drawing layouts and metadata to computer applications
  • Experience researching drawing information, vendor and material resources within and outside NPPD
  • Experience obtaining and recording facility information through facility inspections
  • Experience ensuring drawings accurately reflect facility infrastructure
  • Experience assisting the Drafting Structural/Civil Group
  • Experience providing support for CAD System Technical Analyst
  • Experience independently researching drawing information, vendor, and material resources
  • Experience independently obtaining and recording facility information through facility inspections
  • Experience achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Experience assisting in the training of other employees
