Job Summary
Electrical Distribution Designer responsible for fieldwork to validate construction drawings, capturing field notes, and creating sketches and photos. Convert GIS data across multiple coordinate systems, reconcile conflicts through enterprise version control, and integrate high-quality GIS capabilities with engineering standards to produce construction documents. Import high-resolution CAD drawings into GIS feature classes with extreme accuracy, maintain complex relational databases of point/line/polygon features, and communicate professionally with clients and governmental agencies. Role requires both field and office work and emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and delivery of quality documents for clients.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years Electrical Distribution Engineering experience
- Experience with Pepco’s GWD system required
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
- Detail-oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative and inclusive of diverse backgrounds and locations
- Comfortable in both field and office settings
