Job Summary
Design airfield electrical and lighting systems, navigational aid systems, and apron lighting for nationwide aviation clients. Perform circuit design, lighting layout, equipment selection, and quantity take-offs for infrastructure and transportation projects. Manage detail libraries and drafting standards while coordinating with multi-discipline project teams. Assemble and draft high-quality construction drawings in a team environment using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite. This role supports RS&H's aviation engineering team, which serves airports and infrastructure projects across the nation. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program
- Seven years relevant experience
- Experience designing and drafting power distribution and lighting systems for buildings and infrastructure projects
- Experience assembling and drafting high-quality construction drawings in a team environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive in investigating and developing solutions and spreading knowledge with team
- At least 7 years of experience with AutoCAD in electrical design and drafting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with aviation electrical projects
- Experience with FAA Advisory Circulars and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency in Revit
