Job Summary
Design schematics, perform heat load and SCCR analysis, and develop bills of materials for standard and new machines to meet BluePrint and customer specifications. Ensure designs align with industry standards while managing project commitments and utilizing Kinetics or CADLink systems. Collaborate daily with design and assembly departments to support manufacturing, conduct value engineering, and maintain safe working environments. Travel up to 25% as required. This onsite role at our South Chesterfield, VA facility supports the design and development of case packers and tray packing solutions for flexible packages.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
- Associate's degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- Knowledge of UL, NEC and NFPA 79
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
- Detailed knowledge of electrical components and their function
- Highly developed customer orientation
- Periodic travel up to 25%
- Pass a drug screen and background check successfully
