Job Summary
Collaborate daily with engineers, project managers, and the custom panel fabrication shop to design electrical systems for industrial, manufacturing, and chemical process plants. Develop electrical drawings covering power distribution, controls, and lighting for greenfield, brownfield, retro-fits, and automation integration projects. Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD to support install, programming, and niche engineering design solutions across facilities ranging from small-scale to over $150 million projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in performing electrical design for industrial environments
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Basic understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, MCCs, cable sizing, power correction, variable frequency drives, transformers, switchgear, and lighting design
- Familiarity with single-line diagrams and P&IDs
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- All applicants must be within 40 miles of the greater Dayton, Ohio area willing to commute to our Dayton headquarters on a regular basis, with occasional trips to client sites
Desired Qualifications
- If you have 2 year degree in Electrical Designer or EET, you must have at least 4 years of demonstrated work experience in a similar capacity
