Job Summary
Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical schematics compliant with UL 508A, build and evolve Podium’s component database and symbol library, test and implement tools to accelerate schematic creation, and support operations by answering technician questions and aiding process improvements. Role involves end-to-end design-to-test activities across control panel design, build, and testing, with in-person work in Brooklyn, NY. Requires a 4-year degree in Electrical/Systems Engineering or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience; familiarity with DTM, EPLAN, and AutoCAD Electrical; willingness to work on-site five days a week in Brooklyn.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed a 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related field
- 0-2 years of work experience in electrical engineering with good understanding of electrical fundamentals (AC vs DC voltage, function of overcurrent protection devices, sizing of wiring)
- Familiar with DTM, E3, EPLAN, or AutoCAD Electrical
- Available to work in-person in Brooklyn, NY (in person, 5 days/week)
