Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary
Manage all phases of the project cycle, including initial design concepts, building prototypes, and conducting testing for pressure washers, air compressors, and generators. Create, modify, and release engineering documentation such as wiring diagrams and BOMs while identifying and specifying electrical components. Collaborate with the Purchasing team to manage supplier relationships and lead cross-functional project teams. Conduct certification compliance testing and compile required documentation for UL and CSA standards. Represent Mi-T-M professionally on technical committees and research alternative components to improve product quality or reduce costs. Work 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Strong knowledge on electrical components and their application
- Ability to use electrical tools, such as a multimeter, for testing and troubleshooting
- Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to creatively solve problems
- Skilled using MS Office
- Experience creating and modifying wiring diagrams in AutoCAD
Desired Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in design and use of industrial products, such as pressure washers, air compressors, and generators preferred
- Familiarity with UL, CSA standards strongly preferred
