Job Summary

Design and develop electrical solutions for robot-based, electromechanical systems used in factory and process automation. Collaborate across departments to create safe, effective designs while generating and managing technical documentation. You will proficiently create electrical schematics, 2D panel layouts, and industrial control cabinets, ideally using EPLAN software. Occasionally join the workshop team to fault-find and identify solutions. This role requires travel to client sites in the UK defence and aerospace sectors. The position demands a UK citizen with a degree in electrical engineering, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to drive in the UK.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree/HND/HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications and/or experience
  • Previous experience within an electrical design role, or a role that has required a reasonable degree of electrical design
  • Proficient in the creation of Electrical Schematics
  • EPLAN
  • Demonstrable ability to create 2D electrical panel layouts
  • Able to manage your own time and prioritise tasks based on high-level project milestones and objectives
  • Knowledge and ability to work to the required standards
  • Proficient with MC Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Natural problem-solving abilities
  • Must be able to drive in the UK
  • UK citizen

Desired Qualifications

  • You will ideally have used EPLAN electrical design software
  • experience designing industrial control cabinets
  • having previous experience of electrical building
  • Willing and interested in learning new technology
  • Willing to get hands-on and stuck in if required
