Job Summary
Electrical Design Engineer for the industrial EI&C team, focusing on detailed electrical, instrumentation and control system design for heavy industrial and process-plant projects. Role involves client interfacing, applying knowledge of MV/LV distribution and motor control, and adherence to AS/NZS standards. Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of post-graduate experience; familiarity with SCADA/PLC/DCS, hazardous areas and functional safety is valued. Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in industrial projects (process plant, energy, water or mining)
- Experience with in-plant electrical distribution (MV and LV) and motor control systems
- Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1, AS/NZS 2067
- Experience across concept/FEED/detail design phases
- Ability to interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of renewable energy, industrial communications systems, SCADA, PLC/DCS, Hazardous Areas, and Functional Safety
