Job Summary
Conceptualize, design, and engineer 12V DC and 125V AC electrical systems for mobile applications, including multiplexed systems and complex communication networks. Create electrical schematics and bills of materials for vehicle work orders, translate sales orders into schematic packages, and generate updated prints for production and customer service. Develop new electrical harnesses for manufacturability while researching technologies to integrate new chassis model year changes. Provide hands-on training to production personnel, service technicians, and customers on electrical applications and processes. Assist production with troubleshooting issues, root cause analysis, and warranty support, and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent working experience
- Strong knowledge and three years of working experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and electrical tools
- Two years of electrical CAD drawing experience
- Sound knowledge of electrical theory and design criteria
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Must maintain any required licensures and/or certifications
- Must successfully pass a post offer drug test, as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol test thereafter
- Must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to regularly walk, talk and hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel
- Must be able to frequently use hand to finger dexterity in order to handle objects, tools, and/or controls
- Must be able to occasionally stoop or crawl
- Must be able to complete all work as detailed in the summary of responsibilities of this position profile at acceptable productivity and quality levels
- Must be able to demonstrate all technical skills/competencies and core skills as referenced in this job specification at acceptable productivity and quality levels
- Must demonstrate reasonable and reliable attendance
