Electrical Department Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary
Lead a team of electrical engineers and designers to execute water and wastewater projects on schedule and within budget. Provide technical and quality oversight for all project work, establish discipline standards, and review weekly project budgets at milestone dates. Notify Project/Client Managers of schedule risks at least two weeks prior to completion and identify the Engineer of Record and senior staff for complex designs. Manage scope to identify potential additional services and ensure timely information delivery for design coordination. Join Dewberry's MEPS Infrastructure team, one of the strongest electrical groups in the Raleigh area, focusing on resilient infrastructure for communities across North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Colorado, and Florida. Collaborate on traditional W/WW designs while assisting in developing renewable energy utilization strategies to meet client decarbonization goals.
Required Qualifications
- BS in electrical engineering
- 12+ years of design or WW/W operation experience or industrial projects
- PE is required
- Must have experience designing electrical systems and producing design deliverable
- Proven leadership skills delegating to engineering and design staff
- Must be a self-starter with initiative, drive and determination
- Good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Life Safety Codes, and other related Codes
- Good verbal, writing and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
