Job Summary
Lead and manage a team delivering electrical engineering design and advisory services for AFRY USA projects. Oversee electrical scopes of work for complex, industrial and manufacturing projects, and serve as Engineer of Record, acting as the primary interface with clients, project management, and business development. Develop work plans, design schedules, and fee estimates; coordinate with project delivery stakeholders to align resources and meet delivery needs. Responsibilities include department leadership, career development and mentoring of staff, recruiting and retention, staff utilization and billability targets, and quality assurance/oversight of department work product. Build and maintain relationships with global peer managers. Requires PE license and 10+ years of design/consulting experience; strong client engagement, proposal development, and leadership capabilities; experience with power distribution, substations, energy storage, and related power system modeling tools. Must be eligible to live and work in the U.S. Preferences include experience managing electrical staff and knowledge of SKM Power Tools, ETAP, EasyPower, SCADA, and related systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineering License
- At least 10 years of design and consulting experience working with clients, service providers, contractors, OEMs, Owner/Developers and/or Lenders
- Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships and win work, and deliver innovative solutions
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
