Job Summary
Electrical Data Center Source Inspection & Quality Control Engineer responsible for ensuring electrical equipment and systems for data-center power infrastructure are manufactured, tested, and delivered in full compliance with project specs, regulatory standards, and client expectations. Conducts detailed inspections and witnesses testing of switchgear, transformers, UPS, and control panels; validates protection schemes, system functionality, and integration readiness. Serves as a key QA/QC control point to prevent defective or non-compliant equipment from reaching site, reduces commissioning risk, and supports operational resilience. Requires hands-on QA/QC documentation, NCR management, and interaction with manufacturers and project teams. Preferred: ISO 9001 / IEC/IEEE certifications; experience with PDUs, busducts, ITP/QCP, commissioning processes, and site integration; strong English communication; data-centre power expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent HND/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years' professional experience in electrical systems for data centres or critical infrastructure environments
- Demonstrated expertise in source inspections and manufacturing quality control for electrical equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge of LV/MV systems, protection systems, and backup power systems (UPS, generators, switchgear)
- Proficiency with testing standards (IEC, IEEE, IS) and FAT/SAT procedures
- Strong competency in QA/QC documentation, NCR management, and technical reporting
- Proven ability to interface effectively with manufacturers, project teams, and stakeholders
