Electrical Controls Technician - Second Shift

Job Summary
Wire electrical control panels efficiently in a high-volume production setting by reading schematics, interpreting B.O.M./drawings, and laying out, machining, and populating control enclosures. Use hand tools, drills, taps, saws, knockout punches, and multi-meters to assemble mechanical and pneumatic components, then verify work through continuity checks and functional tests to ensure operational requirements are met. May operate a forklift with provided training. This second shift role reports to the subassembly floor supervisor and requires experience with AC/DC circuits, PLC terminology, and UL 508A wiring standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience using the skills mentioned above
- Experience in wiring electrical control panels
- UL 508A experience
- Read and interpret schematics and electrical specifications
- Working knowledge of AC & DC control circuits
- Knowledge of single and three-phase motor control
- Knowledge of PLC terminology/function
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments and meters
- The ability to work with and understand electromechanical functionality
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role in an organized fashion
- Strong computer skills
- Capability to work with all Microsoft Office applications
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in wiring electrical control panels, UL 508A experience is a plus
