Job Summary
Conduct advanced PLC programming, logic modification, and troubleshooting across Brewery, Packaging, and Utilities systems. Independently diagnose complex electrical, controls, and automation failures while directing electricians on corrective actions. Lead electrical controls initiatives to improve safety, quality, and performance, including developing and optimizing programs for Allen Bradley, Siemens, HMI, and relay-based circuits. Execute on various targets, KPIs, and staff initiatives to drive improvement objectives, and assist Engineering in capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs. Compile data and write reports regarding engineering studies and projects, maintaining compliance with NEC, OSHA, Arc Flash, and GMP standards. Work with voltage power systems up to 11,500 volts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
- 3+ years PLC programming/controls engineering experience
- Expertise with Ladder Logic, HMI/SCADA, industrial networking, instrumentation, and VFDs
- Experience directing electricians or skilled trades in troubleshooting and corrective work
- Ability to work with voltage power systems up to 11,500 volts
- Maintain compliance with NEC, OSHA, Arc Flash, GMP, and plant safety standards
- Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Must be able to submit to a drug test after a conditional offer of employment
