Electrical Controls Technician

Job Summary
The Electrical Controls Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing industrial equipment, including high/low voltage electrical systems and PLC controls. Responsibilities also include performing preventive maintenance, completing assigned work orders, and troubleshooting equipment to identify root causes and recommend improvements. The ideal candidate will have extensive plant maintenance experience, proficiency with electrical test equipment, and knowledge of NEC requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to succeed in this role.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with outside contractors on miscellaneous installations
- Three to Five years of plant maintenance experience with electrical certifications desired
- Ability to develop control logic including prints and installation of control wiring and troubleshoot PLC
- Proficient in the use of test equipment such as multimeters
- Working knowledge of programmable controllers and AC/DC drives
- Industrial control wiring experience
- Ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics
- Knowledge of NEC requirements
- Able to work in cross functional teams
- Ability to work overtime if needed
- Excellent on-site attendance
