Job Summary
Electrical Controls Engineer responsible for designing electrical panel layouts and schematics with AutoCAD, ensuring UL 508A and IEC standards compliance, and supporting development, testing, and validation of electrical components for industrial high-speed servo motion control packaging machinery. Key duties include electrical design input across new product development, load calculations and power/thermal analysis, providing electrical specifications and technical support to engineering, manufacturing, field service, and customers, conducting development and validation testing, generating test procedures and reports, supporting Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test, and creating documentation for safety technology and machine requirements. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or similar Technology) and 1-6 years of Electrical Engineer experience; preferred qualifications include experience with automation machinery and familiarity with servo systems and integrated safety technology; strong skills in PLC, safety PLC, and HMI programming, and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical CAD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar Technology
- 1-3 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer (Level I) or 3-6 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer (Level II)
- Experience with automation machinery is a plus
- Working knowledge of multi-axis servo systems is a plus
- Working knowledge of integrated safety technology with emphasis on servo motor control is a plus
- Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics
