Job Summary
Develop and implement advanced control system software for custom machinery, focusing on Beckhoff PC-based control systems. Program and optimize Fanuc robots for integration into automated systems, while integrating and configuring vision systems to enhance machine functionality. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and validate control system architecture, and create comprehensive documentation including control logic and user manuals. Troubleshoot technical issues during assembly and testing, and assist in system commissioning at customer facilities when required. Continuously evaluate new technologies to improve machine performance and reliability. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and extensive experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT, Fanuc robotics, and industrial communication protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- extensive experience in control system design
- programming
- PC-based machine control using Beckhoff TwinCAT
- Proficiency in Fanuc robot programming (including path planning and optimization)
- experience integrating vision systems
- Strong understanding of industrial control components
- electrical systems
- industrial communication protocols, specifically Ethernet/IP
- familiarity with Allen Bradley RSLogix Studio 5000
- familiarity with FactoryTalk View
Desired Qualifications
- familiarity with Allen Bradley RSLogix Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View is a plus
